Stephanie Ashton

Senior Paralegal

Stephanie began her legal career in 2004 as an undergraduate at Western Washington University, when she served as a part-time office assistant to Dennis Williams (now retired). After obtaining her BA in English (Creative Writing emphasis), she worked in legal support at a Seattle-based firm before returning to Bellingham in 2008 to work as a Probate Paralegal and Adoption Legal Assistant at Barron Smith Daugert.

 

In subsequent years, Stephanie was employed as the office manager for a national non-profit organization and then in a variety of roles for an investment management company focused on socially responsible and sustainable investing – before returning again to legal support in Fall 2022.   

 

Stephanie obtained a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Western Washington University in 2020, and has taught courses on financial literacy and investing to WWU Freshman. She is passionate about food and sustainability, having previously served on the Board of Directors for the Bellingham Food Bank and currently serving on the Board of Directors for Sustainable Connections. She is energetic, creative, and deeply compassionate. Outside of work, Stephanie is an avid cook and enjoys literature, film, and fine art.
